Belgian powerhouse Charlotte de Witte continues to rewrite the story of modern techno. This week, she secured the title of best techno DJ in the world for the sixth year in a row, a milestone that cements her as one of the most influential figures the genre has ever seen.
In addition to dominating her category once again, Charlotte reached a new career peak by entering the DJ Mag Top 10 overall ranking for the very first time, landing at #9 globally. A well-deserved achievement for an artist who has consistently pushed techno forward through her label KNTXT and her boundary-breaking performances.
A defining year for Charlotte
2025 has been far from ordinary for the Belgian icon. One of her most notable accomplishments took place at Tomorrowland 2025, where she became the first artist to both open and close the Mainstage on the same day — a historic moment witnessed by thousands.
Meanwhile, she has been preparing the release of her highly anticipated debut album, simply titled “Charlotte de Witte”, scheduled for November 7. The project is already generating massive excitement thanks to early singles like:
-
“The Heads That Know” (featuring Comma Dee)
-
“The Realm”
-
“No Division”
These tracks reveal a refined, darker and even more immersive side of her signature sound.
A major celebration ahead
Looking into next year, Charlotte has already announced a special milestone performance: a massive show on February 6, 2026, at Flanders Expo in Ghent, marking 15 years of her journey in the electronic music scene.
Charlotte de Witte remains a symbol of artistic evolution, determination, and leadership — a defining force shaping the future of global techno.
