The globally acclaimed Gates of Agartha series — known for merging music, travel, art, and ancient culture — is preparing to descend into the heart of the Mexican jungle. From January 16–19, 2025, the project will make its long-awaited Tulum debut, offering a two-day festival at Zamna as well as exclusive ceremonies at a lagoon and a cenote for guests who join the Full Experience program.
A concept rooted in ancient myth and global storytelling
Inspired by the mythical subterranean kingdom of Agartha, the series explores the idea of hidden knowledge and ancestral wisdom. Its first edition, held in Croatia, was met with wide critical acclaim and was named Best New Regional Festival of the year.
Gates of Agartha is a creative offshoot of Echoes From Agartha Cappadocia, the celebrated festival set among the ancient valleys of Anatolia, Turkey — a location revered for its breathtaking landscapes and millennia-old history. Like its parent event, the Tulum edition continues the mission of placing transformative cultural experiences in destinations rich with legacy and mysticism.
Why Tulum? A living bridge to the Mayan world
With its well-preserved ruins and deep connection to the past, Tulum is one of the most symbolic gateways to Mayan heritage. For this edition, the festival joins forces with Zamna, the renowned jungle venue known for its lush natural environment and mystical atmosphere.
Across four days, Zamna will be transformed into a realm where ancient spirits meet futuristic imagination, creating a bridge between eras and cultures.
Guests will immerse themselves in a landscape of cenotes, towering trees, and sacred ground, echoing the traditions, presence, and wisdom of one of the most influential civilizations in history.
A four-day program blending ritual, music, and myth
Thursday, January 16 – Lagoon Opening Ceremony
The journey begins with an intimate sunset ritual for only 400 Full Experience attendees. Held at a tranquil lagoon, the ceremony blends Mayan traditions with Agartha’s futuristic vision — connecting participants with water, land, sky, and ancestral energy. A private party under the stars follows.
Friday, January 17 & Saturday, January 18 – Festival Nights at Zamna
The core of the experience unfolds across two monumental nights at Zamna, each welcoming 4,500 attendees. Expect world-class artists, spectacular stage design, and an atmosphere that unites jungle mysticism with cutting-edge production. The result: an immersive voyage through music, art, and history.
Sunday, January 19 – Secret Cenote Closing Party
The final chapter takes place from 10 a.m. until sunset at a hidden cenote venue. This exclusive closing event invites guests to reflect on their shared journey — surrounded by crystalline waters, ancient rock formations, and the serene beauty of the Mayan jungle.
An immersive celebration honoring the land
Staying true to its philosophy, Gates of Agartha Tulum will integrate Mayan aesthetics, cultural practices, and design elements into its environment, blended seamlessly with Agartha’s signature ancient-futuristic style. The festival offers multiple accommodation packages, from boutique villas to jungle lodges, each including special perks to complete the fully immersive experience.
This edition promises a deep, transformative encounter with the cultural and spiritual legacy of the region, enriching the mind, body, and soul of everyone who attends.
