Martin Garrix has been forced to cancel his upcoming weekend performances after undergoing emergency appendicitis surgery, including a highly anticipated appearance at the Festival Internacional Del Globo in Mexico.
In an emotional statement shared on his social channels, the superstar DJ expressed how difficult the decision was, highlighting his strong connection with Mexican fans and recalling some of his most cherished live memories in the country. His medical team, however, strongly advised him to rest to avoid post-operative complications.
Garrix reassured fans that he will be back soon, closing his message with a heartfelt “big hug” and sending love to everyone in Mexico.
The timing is particularly unfortunate given how remarkable the year has been for him so far — from releasing a collaboration with Alesso, to fueling long-standing rumours of his upcoming Ed Sheeran collab, and announcing a fresh B2B set at Ultra Miami, all while maintaining the intense international tour schedule expected from the current #2 DJ in the world.
SkipTrek wishes Martin Garrix a smooth and speedy recovery. 💛
